I read this book out of sequence and it was still one of the most gripping reads I've had the pleasure of discovering. The pace races along and if you have it on your iphone you will find yourself walking into walls and standing outside your destination telling yourself "Just one more page."
I both delighted in it's saucy scenes and cringed at it's terrifying torture methods. Definitely a great read when you want something you can pick up and drop yet will always make you return without pause to it's pages.
So I've been following Olesia Anderson's exploits since they began, and I think this is one of the best stories this author has produced. It's definitely the best Agent 806 story to date. The writing is tight and witty. Olesia herself is incredibly sexy, intelligent and commanding, her relationships with the other characters are a pleasure to read. The plot is focused and rewarding, but offers just enough hints at what might come next to keep you guessing. This, combined with great pacing and gripping action makes for a sexy thriller where so much goes wrong, and gets so much right! Above all, the work doesn't take itself too seriously, and is a real joy as a result. Definitely recommended.
Muzzle Flash is aptly named as it gives insight to all that is illuminated within the story! Agent 806 returns for a third time in another gritty, spy-for-hire, action thriller. This time Olesia finds herself in more danger than ever, with gun-totin' bad guys around every corner. I found myself holding my breath throughout many scenes, hoping that Olesia's missions went smoothly. This book is a fantastic new addition to the series and Olesia's wit and charm make her adventures impossible to put down. Seriously people, you need to buy these books!
I enjoy reading the Olesia Anderson series as an escape from day-to-day life. She's smart, sexy, tough and wry, everything we wish we were. In this instalment Olesia heads to a tiny Island to retrieve a well connected Indian businessman wanted by his former employers. Once there, Olesia discovers that once again, there's more going on behind the scenes than what she originally thought. The plot is well written, stimulating in its twists and turns and Olesia is so damn likeable, you can't help but root for her. Muzzle Flash is grittier than the previous two episodes, hitting on more serious notes, but the writing remains light and Olesia's humour keeps the whole thing from taking itself too seriously. A fun bit of escapism, I totally recommend.
